The docufilm Mahmood, produced by Red Carpet, a company of the Iervolino Group & Lady Bacardi Entertainment and Prime Video, won the Best Docu Film Award at the Filming Italy Los Angeles 2023 dedicated to Italy.

Rome, March 1, 2023 – MAHMOOD the docufilm tracing Mahmood’s life, produced by Red Carpet and Prime Video, with the collaboration of Tulips srl, after its success at Alice nella Città, won the Best Docu Film Award at Filming Italy Los Angeles 2023.

The festival, now in its 8th edition and dedicated to Italian excellence in the film industry, honored on its Los Angeles stage the docufilm that tells the incredible story of one of the most beloved talents of today’s Italian music scene. The film premiered at the Rome Film Festival in the independent Alice nella Città section.

MAHMOOD is the story of Alessandro Mahmoud’s life, his closest affections, music, victories in Sanremo, Eurovision, European tour, backstage of his works.

Directed by Giorgio Testi and written by Virginia W. Ricci, the docufilm recounts through the voice of the protagonist and the testimonies of Blanco, Carmen Consoli, Dardust, and Paola Zukar, the path that, as a young boy born and raised in the Milanese suburbs, led him to success making him the musical phenomenon Mahmood.
