Synopsis

During the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Isacc Amin, a rich gemmologist of Jewish origins, was captured by the guards of the revolutionaries and imprisoned and was freed only after enduring horrible tortures.

He understands that everything is changing in Tehran, so he decides to reunite his family and escape from his own country to find peace and serenity. The film is based on the novel The Septembers of Shiraz by the Iranian writer Dalia Sofer, ranked among the most important books of 2007.
