The first scenes of the adventure film directed by Kirk Harris and written by Johnny Harrington will be set in the Mercadante Forest, which will act as backdrop to numerous sequences. Other scenes will be shot in Los Angeles.

The cast stars internationally renowned performers such as Abbie Cornish (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Limitless, Bright Star, Geostorm), Lola Sultan (Yes Day, Bernie the Dolphin), William Baldwin (Backdraft, Sliver), Patrick Muldoon (The Comeback Trail, Starship Troopers) and Tim Rozon (Instant Star, Schitt’s Creek, Wynonna Earp).
The movie is produced by Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Danielle Maloni and Marty Poole.

Andrea Iervolino, president and founder of Iervolino Entertainment, noted: “After the outbreak of the pandemic we were the first to bring international stars back to Italy, organizing the filming in full compliance with COVID regulations in order to resume live action. After State of Consciousness, the start of filming of Dakota is an additional demonstration that it’s possible to reconcile work on the set with safety protocols so as not to stop the production of films in Italy and abroad”.
