Andrea Iervolino among the most influential people in cinema according to Varity’s 2020 ranking
December 24, 2020
Andrea Iervolino, founder of the company Iervolino Entertainment, a producer of cinematographic and television content for the international market, was included in Variety‘s annual ranking of the 500 most influential leaders shaping the global media industry, the “Variety500”.
In the annual ranking drawn up by the American magazine, an international authority in the world of cinema, Andrea Iervolino was included among the 10 Italians chosen for 2020, making him one of the three new entries.
The other two new Italians in the rankings are Eleonora Andreatta, vice president of Italian original series at Netflix, and Domenico Procacci, producer of Fandango.
Andrea Iervolino, president and founder of Iervolino Entertainment, noted: “I’m honoured by this recognition that comes just as the company that I founded only a few years ago is going through a period of strong growth. After getting listed on the stock exchange last summer, and some successful films including the award-winning Waiting for the Barbarians presented at the Venice Film Festival, the company is very active in the field of short animation content with which we have climbed the rankings of the main Video-on-Demand platforms, and we are confident they will continue to do very well”.
